Our Glenelg Project captures the essence of modern family living. Our clients desired a contemporary yet simple home with minimal upkeep for their family of five. Working closely with our relaxed yet discerning clients made this an enjoyable project.

The irregular-shaped lot posed some initial design challenges, as did the local flooding requirements which mandated raising the floor levels. However, we leveraged these constraints to our advantage by elevating the habitable spaces, we capitalised on the city views for the master suite.

We designed the neutral facade to complement the mix of materials. The honed Austral granite blocks pair nicely with the weathered, vertical Victorian Ash cladding. Despite the irregular lot, we aimed to make the home feel spacious. The floor plan flows to the rear where the living and kitchen open onto the pool and garden terrace and by repeating the Victorian Ash cladding on the rear deck soffit, creates cohesion.

This project was a dream with savvy yet understanding clients and our collaborative team effort achieved the desired outcome.
